- Born in Alabama to mixed-ethnic family (WASP, Jewish, Cherokee, and African American); raised in DC suburbs, live in Richmond. Art history major, English and French minor. High school teacher (1989 - 2001); museum administrator (2001 - 2007); non-profit director (50 miserable weeks in 2007 - 2008); managing editor of a couple of magazines (2008 - 2009); unemployment gold-bricker (June - August 2009); marketing program coordinator at VCU (August 2009 - present). By night, I am a playwright and part-time geek.
